Our History

Segui Law Firm PC moved to Mount Pleasant from downtown Charleston in 2005. We have been providing representation to home and condominium owners in a wide variety of legal matters involving construction problems throughout the coastal areas of South Carolina including Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Kiawah, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach areas.

Phillip has been involved in Construction Defect Litigation since 1997 and for the last 19 years has primarily represented property owners in claims against developers, general contractors, sub-contractors and product manufacturers involving construction problems with single-family residences, condominium buildings and commercial structures.

Abby Bechtol faulty construction lawyer

Abby Y. Bechtol

Abby attended the University of South Carolina, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Finance while minoring in Spanish. She then went on to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, from which she graduated in 2015. While in law school, she clerked for a small family law practice, interned at the Athletic Department, served as research assistant for several professors, and worked in the legal department of a financial company specializing in servicing consumer and international consumer debt portfolios. Abby is currently a member of the Charleston County Bar’s Wellness Committee and serves as an Appellate Defender with the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense. She has been with the firm since 2016 and lives in Charleston with her husband, Brett, and their cat, Eleven.
